The tradition continues – Carleton gives honorary degree to Kofi Annan

Carleton University was proud to present His Excellency Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations, with a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, at a special closed convocation ceremony on March 9.

As one of the world’s greatest and most respected leaders, Mr. Annan and the U.N. were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in December, 2001. Carleton has traditionally conferred honorary degrees on each of the Secretaries General of the United Nations since 1954.
