Carleton and U of Arizona renew agreement

On February 12, in his capacity as Vice-President (Research and International) Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur hosted a visit from Dr. Leslie Tolbert, Vice President Research, Graduate Studies and Economic Development at the University of Arizona. Above, they are shown signing an agreement for renewed research collaboration. Since 2003, the collaboration has focused mainly on optical sciences and a number of successful projects are underway. The renewed agreement allows for the inclusion of additional research areas, primarily in engineering, environmental sciences, biology, biomedical sciences, Aboriginal studies and security/border technologies. Dr. Tolbert’s visit to Carleton University allowed her to gain first-hand knowledge of Carleton’s strengths in these areas.
