Record turnout at Parents’ Evening

James Miller (far right), Associate Dean (Undergraduate Affairs) for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, was one of many faculty members on hand December 6 for Parents’ Evening. Turnout this year was at an all-time high, with 480 prospective students and their parents filling Alumni Theatre A and overflowing into Theatre B. Miller thinks the event was very successful. “I really enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm of the parents and students as well as that of the faculty members and administrators who participated.” The event is designed for parents of graduating high school students who would like to know more about the process of applying to Carleton and how to help their student choose the right program.
