Safety tip and Summary – June 2010

Safety Tip: Throughout April and May, the Department of University Safety received reports of approximately one bicycle per week being stolen. With warmer weather approaching, it is important to be aware of bicycle theft prevention on campus as it is one of the most common items stolen at this time of year.

Summary

The Department of University Safety would like to remind the Carleton community that properly securing your bicycle to a designated rack helps in the deterrence of theft. Our department also offers a bicycle registration program and free engraving service to students, staff and faculty. If you are interested in these programs you are encouraged to visit our Bicycle Registration page or phone the Department of Safety at 613-520-3612.
