Carleton mourns the loss of Diane Chastenay

The Carleton community, and in particular, the Business Office, lost a good friend and valued co-worker suddenly on February 17. Diane Chastenay worked at Carleton for almost 24 years, most recently as the Accounts Payable Supervisor in the Business Office.

Diane touched many lives, whether through her infectious laugh, her generous nature, or her willingness to take on any task. She always put the needs of others before her own, and demonstrated a kindness and compassion that was selfless. Diane was respected by many at the University, even by those who didn’t know her well, due in no small part to courteous professionalism.

Diane leaves behind her husband of over 30 years, Ray, her daughters Andrea and Michelle, as well as countless friends, both within the Carleton community and beyond.

We shall miss her greatly.
