Connecting with career advice

On February 12, the Career Development and Co-operative Education office, in partnership with the Carleton University Alumni Association, brought together students, industry experts and alumni mentors for the first-ever Career Connection Speaker Series. The successful event included a talk on leadership effectiveness by David Crisp, BA/68, and a networking reception where students received some real-world career advice from alumni mentors. Student Olga Kandaurova (left) connects with volunteer mentor Kate McGregor (right), BA/73. The next Career Connection Speaker Series is scheduled for March 12 and will feature Board of Governors member Margaret Dacey.
