New Healthy Workplace Committee Chair

Viewpoint

President Roseann O’Reilly Runte is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Kane, Assistant Vice-President, (University Services), as the Chair of Carleton University’s new Healthy Workplace Committee.

In this role, Kane will oversee a committee comprised of a diverse cross-section of staff and faculty volunteers who will work together to establish a culture of health, wellness, and activity at the university. The committee’s objective is to implement healthy workplace initiatives, including enhanced programming and communications, to help improve employee wellness, satisfaction, and engagement.

“Our employees are the most important members of our community and it is appropriate to provide meaningful opportunities that will foster and support their personal health and well-being,” President Runte says about the university’s new healthy workplace initiative.

Kane will be supported in his role by Cindy Robinson, the university’s newly appointed Healthy Workplace and Communications Co-ordinator.
