ISSO photo contest celebrates diversity

This past term, Carleton University students, faculty and staff looked at the world Through a Global Lens–a photography competition held by the International Student Services Office (ISSO) to celebrate the diversity of our world and internationalism on campus. The above photo (a winner in the people category) was submitted by Amit Ajwani, a first-year International Business student. He took it on his visit to Agra, India just after he had returned from the Taj Mahal. “I thought it would emphasize the Taj’s rich Indian history as well as what it symbolizes to most Indians: A place for the common man to go.” To view more photographs, visit the ISSO website at (click on ISSO Gallery: View).
