I support the United Way because . . .

. . . it is a community organization. My United Way/Centraide representatives are aware of the issues of poverty and abuse in my community and give my money to the people who will benefit the most from my donation.

. . . it encompasses a host of organizations that provide aid to those in need. Supporting the United Way/Centraide supports a large network of services which provides help in a great number of ways, to whoever might need it.

. . . one in three people in Ottawa will need the services of a United Way/Centraide agency at some time. That’s the approximately the equivalent of 8,000 of the 23,000 students that walk Carleton University’s halls . . . and I know that I could be one of them.
