University Safety News

MARCH 2011

SAFETY TIP OF THE MONTH

During the first three weeks of February, the Department of University Safety (DUS) received 29 calls for medical assistance, 15 of which resulted in Ottawa Paramedic Service being contacted. DUS would like to remind the Carleton community that our special constables are trained in emergency response and have direct contact with Carleton University Student Emergency Response Team (CUSERT) and Ottawa Paramedic Service.

SUMMARY

Being able to provide quality medical assistance to those in our community as quickly as possible is essential. If you witness an individual who requires such medical assistance, please contact DUS immediately so that emergency responders can be dispatched. You can reach our department by calling 613-520-4444 or by utilizing any of the interior and exterior assistance phones located across campus.
